The film is set in a dystopian future and follows the story of Motoko Kusanagi (a Section 9 public security officer) who is assigned to track down the mysterious ghost hacker referred to as the “Puppet Masters”. Motoko’s quest for her new job is a journey that leads her to Project 2501, which was initiated by corrupt Section 6. This resulted in the creation of the antagonist. Vampire Hunter D – Bloodlust

Cowboy Bebop: The Movie

Imagine if you could make a video game into a film. The film was in the spirit of the series of fighting games. Kenichi Imai wrote the film and Gisaburo Suugii directed it. The film is a story of Ryu who takes on Bison an infamous criminal lord who is determined to defeat one of the greatest fighters in the world. The film has enjoyed a wide fan base ever since and acts as an inspiration for the live-action film starring Van Damme.

Appleseed

It was developed by “Ghost in the Shell” fame, Masamune Shirow, Appleseed is a computer-animated science fiction action film featuring some eye-catching animation. Deunan Kute is a former cyborg , who decides to reconcile with her partner, a cyborg named Masamune Schirow in an post-apocalyptic Utopian town dubbed “Olympus”. The inhabitants of the city are made up of Bioroids (genetically modified duplicates) and human beings in approximately similar proportions. The artificial Bioroids, who have hardly any feelings like fear or anger are created in order to balance the human society and to bring peace. However, there are certain organizations that do not like the idea and want to break the peace and harmony once more. Appleseed and also its successor Appleseed – Ex Machina are definitely an absolute must-see for all those who enjoy action, science fiction and epic soundtrack.

Sword of the Stranger

Sword of the Stranger is directed by Masahiro Ando and produced by Bones, the same studio co-producing the classic Cowboy Bebop – The Movie. In spite of avoiding drawing his sword ever again, Nanashi is caught between morality and loyalty when he agrees to take Kotaro to the remote Buddhist temple. My favorite anime recommendation is Sword of the Stranger. It’s a masterpiece in its genre. Sword of the Stranger is essential for all who enjoys Samurai and Sword films with an atmospheric soundtrack as well as high-quality animations.

Fist of the North Star

Fist of the North Star is the last and final feature in our top ten list. The story is adapted from the manga series. The plot centers around Kenshiro, a protagonist who sets out to locate his wife Yuria after he is defeated by Shin, his former friend.
